Who can get the MenB vaccine at a pharmacy
You can get the MenB vaccine at a pharmacy if either:
- you were born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008
- you were born on or after 21 July 2001 and you’re starting university, or starting at some further education colleges as a residential student, for the first time this autumn (including if you’re an international student or a student from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man)
- 1st doses will be available until 31 December 2026 and 2nd doses will be available until 31 March 2027
- The MenB vaccine is given in 2 doses. You should have your 2nd dose of the vaccine at least 4 weeks after your 1st dose.
- Get your 1st dose as soon as you can, so you have time to get both doses and make sure you’re fully protected before the academic year begins.
